Willy Wonka - The Musical

The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale.  Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone's sweet tooth.

 

Grades: PreK - 5th grade 

 

Dates: September 7th - January 19th

 

No classes:

November 20-25 (Thanksgiving Break) or

December 23-January 5 (Winter Break)

 

Weekly Rehearsals (we've got three options of rehearsal times for you to choose which works better for you!):

  • Wednesdays 2:15-3:15pm
  • or
  • Thursdays 4:15pm - 5:30pm
  • or
  • Saturdays 9:30am - 10:45am

 

Final Rehearsals with All Classes Together:  

  • Thursday, January 11: 4:15pm - 5:30pm
  • Saturday, January 13: 9:30am - 10:45am
  • Monday, January 15: 3:00pm - 4:30pm (Dress Rehearsal)

Performance Day: Friday, January 19th

  • 4pm: Arrival in costume - rehearse on stage
  • 6pm: Performance

COSTUMES:

Students will be required to provide some parts of their costume including, but not limited to shoes and tights.

 

PAYMENT:  

Payment is broken up into 4 installments, each one is $160.  These installments will be automatically charged during the first week of September, October, November and December (no payment in January).  We ask that you be sure your credit card is correct in the registration website when registering.  Please email the studio if you cannot pay by credit card.  Refunds are not available once classes have begun.

 

Family Discount:  If two or more siblings are in a Rhythms musical (including our younger or older shows), we offer $60 off for each child.  

 

New Friend Discount:  For every NEW FRIEND that a returning actor gets to register for Willy Wonka, the returning actor will get $100 off their performance fee.  (Friends must be new to Rhythms Performing Arts).

 

Multiple Musical Discount: For those students who participate in Willy Wonka as well as Peter Pan, you will receive $100 off their total production fees. (4th & 5th graders only). This is a great idea for students who want a big role, but also want to be in the older show where they will get a smaller part.
